So, one day, while I was bored, I was searching for various cell phone recycling programs, and I thought I'd post it here, if someone was interested in helping to do something good for the environment. I mean, it's all about going green these days, so why not make sure one less cell phone ends up in a landfill somewhere?
Anyways, here's some of the sites I've come across as well as what is sent to you (if anything) for sending in your old cell phone:

I have to admit that I'm a fan of the charity route too. Things like Cell Phones for Soldiers and the charities that give them to battered women are the best.
Some people would just rather get cash for them, so that's why I posted so many different options. :-)

Hi Miranda,
I completely agree that re-use is much better for the environment that recycling your old mobile phone, and I'd like to thank you for posting these reuse options for customers. Unfortunately sometimes an old mobile phone is beyond resurrection and in those cases a customer can bring their dead mobile phones to any Best Buy® store and drop them in our mobile phone recycling kiosks!

Hi Nokia,
The recycling kiosks in a Best Buy® store are for all cell phones not just working phones.
Thanks,

Wow this is the first time I've heard about "charity" with phones. That's a great idea though.
