Re: Recycling a PC and Monitor

[ Edited ]

Hi lanoble1022,

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! Our stores do accept both old computers, and monitors to be recycled. The details of our recycling program vary state-to-state, and if you want to read the specific details for your state just go here.

Generally speaking most stores accept up to three items per day per household, accept CRT monitors up to 32 inches, and with CRT monitors we charge $10 per monitor but you would receive a $10 Best Buy® gift card in return.

With computers we do require the hard drive be removed from it before we would accept it to be recycled; you could do this yourself, or you could pay the Geek Squad® in your local store $9.99 to do this for you.

To get your PC and monitor recycled just go to your local Best Buy® store, go to the customer service desk, and they should be able to take care of this for you!

Thanks for recycling!
