Rhapsody/Napster code invalid

Hello,

 

I've been trying to solve this issue for a couple weeks now. I've contacted both the reward zone department and Rhapsody on this issue and have hit a dead end on both, hopefully I can find some help here. I'm a premier silver member and I claimed my code for 6 months free streaming and 25 credits late in November from Napster, before the switch to Rhapsody. Upon having my account moved to Rhapsody, I no longer have free streaming or any of the credits. I've tried re using the promotional code at Rhapsody but it's invalid, as I've used it at Napster already. I provided Rhapsody with all the information I could and they said that the code is invalid and that I need to take it up with who ever issued the code. As I've said, I talked to Best Buy(Reward zone points department) who directed me to Rhapsody, whom is directing me back to Best Buy. It seems neither company really cares about this issue and is pushing it onto the other company. It sounds to me like Best Buy and/or Rhapsody needs to contact the other to straighten this out. Or at least point me in the direction of who issues the promo code included in the Silver membership. Thanks for your help.

This is total crap.  I clicked redeem on the RZ website to use the code too but it came up invalid.  I used to have napster and then ported it over to rhapsody when the two merged.  I called best buy customer service and they just redirected me to the rhapsody folks who then redirected me to the best buy folks saying that offer code was valid for napster not rhapsody.  I called best buy back and the CSR told me she doesn't see that music offer (even though it's loud and clear on the myrz website!).  I told her that if this is indeed an offer that no longer is valid then they need to take it off the website or just clear it up otherwise because there's obviously a disconnect and no one knows what's going on.  Not what you would expect from a large company.  Best Buy and Rhapsody...get your act together.  Terrible customer service and terrible information.

I have the same issue.  The only reason why I care about the Premier Silver membership is for the Napster subscription, which they didn't bother to think about when they got rid of Napster or whatever they did.  I email the Reward Zone customer service and I get generic answers (clearly copied/pasted from a template).  They went from the rolling subscriptions to a few months out of the year, which I can live with, but if you're going to take it away from me altogether just tell me.  There must be someone at Best Buy that can tell me whether I'm going to receive free music or not.  Someone, anyone with a suit and tie?  One of those geek squad guys with short sleeve shirts and a tie?  Please?  I'm thinking of passing on the Premier Silver membership this year.  It's not as good anymore.  Bring our music back and take away all your program partners and bonus points...they're not worth it.  They don't compute.
