Reward Zone Mastercard issue

Okay, I am currently a Premier Silver member. I decided to get the Best Buy Mastercard since I love shopping there. When I filled out the application for the credit card it asked me for my current reward zone ID number, so I thought, Great, I can still keep my current status as a premier silver member. Most importantly, my purchase history.
Well, I was wrong. They sent me the credit card and it had a different reward zone ID number! I called Best Buy and I was told that I cannot use the old ID anymore and I have to start using my new one. This was "really" inconvenient for me because I have to create a different account and I cant use the same email address because it was being used for my old account. This is also irritating because the points, Silver status, Gamer points, and my purchase history CANNOT be transferred to my current account. I have called multiple times and no one can help me.
I have an Alaska airlines mileage credit card and all I did was give them my mileage number and it was instantly linked to my credit card. Its hard for me to imagine a company of this size having this much trouble fixing this easy issue. Can someone please help me with this?

Thank you for posting about this, as it is my understanding that when you sign up for our Reward Zone MasterCard and include your existing Reward Zone membership number on the application, that what you have earned should combine into your new account. Therefore, I wanted to let you know that I am currently looking into this for you and I will be sending you a private message with more information shortly, so please keep your eyes open for a “new message” alert in the top right-hand corner of your screen (when signed in). I am also very sorry for any frustration in the meantime but don’t worry, we will get to the bottom of this! ![]()

I filled out the application online and it did ask for the current Reward Zone ID number I was using.

Great question!
I wish I could give you an exact date of completion for this but the process also involves HSBC as your Reward Zone MasterCard account is administered through them. I apologize that I cannot give you an exact time as to when this will be completed, but I do promise to let you know as soon as possible!
