Hi,
I am a Premier Silver member. When I purchased the Sony HDR-CX100 at Best Buy store in Smyrna, GA, the cashier told me there is a 15% restocking fee and 14-day return policy apply even though I am a Premier Silver member. The back of my receipt does not mention any exclusion to Premier Silver member on the fees. However, when I read the FAQ , it says i will not be charged 15% restocking fee. Can you please confirm who is right?
I like my Premier Silver membership and I intend to keep it if the return/restocking policy has not changed.

Where on there do you see that restocking fees don't apply?

This is what is printed at the back of the receipt:
14-DAY RETURN PERIOD We accept return or exchanges 14 days from the original purchase on computers, monitors, notebook computers, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors and video games purchased as used.
RESTOCKING FEE A restocking fee of 15% will be charged on opened notebook computers, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, GPS/navigation and in-car video systems unless defective or prohibited by law. A restocking fee of 25% will be charged on Special Order Products, including appliances, unless defective or prohibited by law.
Since there is no reference to Premier Silver in writing in the back of the receipt, I just want to make sure the store won't use the above against me if there is an issue....

The return policy would be 45 days for a Premier Silver member but I am not sure if the restocking fee is waived, I have never heard of this.

You mentioned seeing somewhere on the Premier Silver FAQ that restocking fees do not apply. I was asking where you saw that, because I could not find it.
The receipts say that because that paper was made long, long before the Premier Silver program was even a twinkle in someone's eye. Stores have massive stocks of that stuff, and I'm sure BB's warehouses do as well. It'll take a long time to run through it all, so I doubt you'll see the paper call out Premier Silver in the near future. Rest assured, though, that if you are a Premier Silver member, the extended return policy is programmed into the register, so it's not up to the employee to check whether you're a member or not.

I had actually thought I saw that as well. I think it was on the Membership that is mailed to you but not sure. It was a brief thing when I was looking at something and it said 45 day return on everything and no restocking fees as long as your a premier member.

I confirmed with our in-store Operations Senior, the restocking fee is waived for Premier Silver members.
