Placed order online but didnt enter my Prem Silv membership# ???

I placed an order online for a laptop but didnt enter my Silver membership#. My questions are:

 

- Can I call after I receive the laptop to add my order# to get points for the order?

- Can I get the shipping cost refunded?

- Will order be covered by the 45 day return policy?

- Will it be price-protected?

 

Also, does the returen policy allow me to return the laptop, box opened, for a refund without having to buy another laptop? Thanks for any help.

Instead of waiting to receive the laptop, I would call right away with the order number and speak to a representative.  They may be able to fix the order before it hits your credit card or at least give you the credit right away.

Welcome to the forum, and I apologize for the delayed response.  I hope you’re enjoying your new laptop :smileyhappy:

To answer your questions:

  • Yes, you can add your Reward Zone membership number to a previous purchase within 30 days of the purchase.  To do so, log into the Reward Zone website at www.myrz.com and click on “Report Missing Purchases” link on the left hand side; you will need to have your order number or customer service pin, billing zip code, and total amount of the purchase.

 

  • In order to receive free shipping on your online order as a premier silver member, you would need to have your Reward Zone account linked with your BestBuy.com account.  If you have any issues with doing so, please feel free to reach out to us and we can assist with resolving.

 

  • Another great benefit of the premier silver membership is the 45 day return/exchange policy.  In order take advantage of this, your order will need to reflect your Reward Zone member ID proving your premier silver status.  The easiest way to ensure this is to have your BestBuy.com account linked with your Reward Zone account; however if you attach your purchase afterwards your order will then reflect your membership status.

 

  • As far as your purchase being price protected, we do have a price match policy valid through the return/exchange period, which would be 45 days for a premier silver member.  If you do find a lower price on the same available brand and model online or at BestBuy.com during that timeframe, we can process a price match for you.  To do so, you would simply need to contact BestBuy.com via email or by calling 1-888-BestBuy (1-888-237-8289).  However, there are some exclusions to our price match policy which can be found here.

 

  • Regarding returning the laptop open, yes you do have that option and are not required to exchange the unit for a new one.  Under the standard return/exchange policy, for an open, non-defective (as determined by Geek Squad) laptop computer, there would be a 15% restocking fee assessed to the return.  However, another awesome benefit to being a premier silver member is that the restocking fee on a laptop would be waived regardless of the unit being defective or not.
