Partial Premier Silver RZMC Bonus Points

On a similar subject as a another recent thread, I just had points clear from a best buy purchase made on November 4, 2011 for $179.99.  The details are:

 

Total Points : 403

Purchases: 179

Premier 25% Bonus: 45

MasterCard Bonus: Best Buy Purchase 179

 

This is in contrast to my previous BB store purchase before the November 4, 2011 transaction.  On October 4, 2011 I made a $19.99 purchase which broke down as follows:

 

Total Points :48

Purchases 19

Premier 25% Bonus: 5

MasterCard Bonus: Best Buy Purchase 19

RZMC PRMR Bonus 5

 

If you examine all of my Best Buy transactions as a Silver Member using the Best Buy RZ MasterCard, I received my 2.5 points per dollar in this manner (Purchases, Premier 25%, MC Bonus, RZMC PRMR Bonus).  The November 4, 2011 transaction only shows 2.25 points per dollar, missing the RZMC PRMR bonus.

 

I called RewardZone and the very helpful customer service rep. credited my account with the additional 45 points I should have received for the 11/4/2011 purchase. So this incident has already been resolved.  I'm positing this in case the missing RZMC PRMR Bonus points is a glitch.  I've made 4 best buy store purchases since 11/4, and although my experience over the phone with RZ customer support is always very positive (I'm being sincere on this!) I hope that this was an isolated incident and the rest of my purchases will post with the correct 2.5 points per dollar.

 

On a side note, in case a RewardZone employee is looking up my account details, I have a separate open issue regarding a pre-order for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PS3.  Again, even though this issue is still open an ongoing, my experience thus far with customer service has still been very positive.

Seems to be happening a lot lately and while phone service is good, online email is terrible. Takes a week for a canned reply.

I've now had to call regarding this issue on FIVE separate occasions.  Each time, except the most recent (today), I've received the missing points and been assured that this issue will be looked at.  Today, I talked to a rep named "Marie" who told me that no one has looked at this issue and said she couldn't issue the missig points as to try and not to confuse the issue.  This I can stomach if the issue actually gets looked at this time.

 

It's upsetting that I've heard the term "back office" during each call and been assured I would hear within 7 to 10 busniess days about the issue, but five and a half weeks later I've heard absolutely nothing and the problem is persisting.  The back office might as well be a black hole since.....well I can't even rate my customer service with the back office because not only has nothing been resolved, I haven't had any contact with this mysterious entity.  At least the phone reps have been cheerful and as helpful as they can be, this is a plus.  However, if I have to continue to call with regards to every best buy purchase I ever make to receive my extra 25% bonus points (I should be getting 2.5 points per dollar, I've only been getting 2.25), I'll have to re-examine my spending habits and whether or not to continue shopping at Best Buy or using the RewardZone Program MasterCard.

 

My wife and I love electronics and games and we do like browsing through the Best Buy store here to see the latest and greatest.  We're not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but we are well off enough and  the RZ Program has let us take advantage of deals we normally wouldn't consider.  The RZ and the RZ MasterCard program were perfect for our spending habits and I just don't see why it has to be so frustrating to make me want to spend money at your stores.  I know I could easily  just stop shopping at Best Buy and switch to a different card, but the RZMC has worked perfectly from the time we first got the card up until these issues.  So I'm still willing to work with you through this, but the lack of communication on RZ's end is slowly waning my patience.

 

I do apologize for the rant, and any resolution to this issue would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time and attention to this post.

Update:

 

In the time it took me to write the previous post, it looks like my account was credited with "Customer Satisfaction" points.  I really do appreciate this and I take it as a sign that we're working to some form of resolution.  While getting Customer Satisfaction points is cool and I can guarantee that this customer is satisfied :smileyhappy: with the outcome of today's call so far, I still hope we can resolve the root cause of the missing RZMC PRMR points.

 

Thank you again for your customer service phone staff, I have always had a wonderful experience working with them.

Looks like the issue has been resolved.

 

Not only did my purchase on 12/26 post correctly with both RZPS and RZMC points (2.5pts/1$) and additional 1pt/1$ for the Gamers Club, but all my incorrect transactions since the first faulty post on 11/4/2011 have been corrected.

 

It took some time, but still love the RZMC and RZ Program.  Thanks!
