I bought an item (home theater projector) during the holidays, which had a return deadline of January 8th. When I inquired about returning, I was told that per my order, January 8th was the return date. When I asked about the Premier Silver policy return extension, I was told that didn't matter, the return date was January 8th.
Soooooooo......does the return deadline really get extended, or is that something fancy in writing that Best Buy doesn't honor?

Hi georgeorwell,
The extended return and exchange period for Premier Silver members does apply even during a special period such as the Holiday Return and Exchange extension. As a Premier Silver member, you would be able to return and exchange items purchased after November 1 until the end of the return and exchange period, OR 45 days, whichever is longer.
For example, If you make a purchase November 1, your last day to return would be the end of the Holiday extension, as this is past 45 days. If you made a purchase December 17, you would have 45 days from that date, as that would be longer than the end of the Holiday extension.
If this is not how your return request was handled, or if you need further explaination, please send me a private message using the envelope at the top of the page and I will be glad to assist you.
Thanks for writing!

Hi railfan,
As a Premier Silver member, you would also be eligible for a 45-day Price Match on eligible purchases. This is because the Price Match period concurrs with the regular return period of the item, which for Premier Silver members is 45 days.
Hope this helps!
