Days to get an answer to a simple question?

Oh wait - NO!  This is ridiculous.    I posted a couple days ago under best buy.com.  I didn't realize there was a community for premier members (which I see from all the postings that "premier" doesn't really mean anything).  First noting that I waited almost 30 minutes on the phone, being transferred 5 times before I had enough.  I simply wanted to know if Best Buy carried a time capsule 2tb.  I know best buy did a couple weeks ago.  However, while I have been waiting for best buy to respond over the last several days, I decided I would take a look at the apple website.  Guess what?  Apple has it.  I am just going to buy it from apple.

Best buy is being run into the ground.  And yes, you just lost more revenue.  With this type of customer service, it is only a matter of time until a competitor takes advantage of this.

Good luck Best Buy.  You will need it.

Re: Days to get an answer to a simple question?

Regardless of where you post, whether here or in another thread, there isn't a moderator whose job it is to sit and watch the site(s) hitting refresh waiting to answer simple (or difficult) questions. The Community Connectors have multiple responsibilities both online and offline throughout the day. Because of this, it takes them 3 to 5 business days (Monday - Friday days) to reach, research and answer any question.

I'm sorry that in today's information age, people like myself, more and more are demanding instant gratification to our questions, problems, or what have you... and are getting fed up when we don't get it as fast as we want.

Personally, I had no idea what a "time capsule 2tb" was. I just looked it up and realized it was a hard drive storage unit.

So the answer is no. Best Buy does not carry the 2TB Time Capsule. Best Buy does have some refurbished 2TB's but it doesn't carry them in brand new condition. Best Buy carries the 3TB.

Before posting I research everything first or use my own experiences. All my posts are not representative of Best Buy, its affiliates, subsidies, parent if any, stockholders or anything to do with Best Buy. I love Best Buy even though I work for a competitor, I do not now nor have I ever worked for Best Buy.

Re: Days to get an answer to a simple question?

I'll post here as this post has the majority of the information on what the OP is looking for... the rest of the posts seem like venting and are missing info needed to answer the OPs main question.

Walrus is correct that we only have the 3TB Time Capsule in stores (at least mine is this way) and online they do have refurbished 2TB Time Capsules.

Now with that said there's actually other products which are designed to work with Apple's Time Machine backup software and give you network attached storage. One such product is the My Book Live which comes in a 2TB storage capacity for $169 (significantly less than a Time Capsule) and as stated previously is compatable with Time Machine. The difference between the Time Capsule and the My Book Live is that the My Book Live isn't a wireless router, it is simply network attached storage. Most people already have a wireless router they're using anyhow so that's no big deal.

Hopefully this has been helpful information to you.

Although I am employed by Geek Squad my opinions do not in any way shape or form represent Best Buy's Official stance on matters. My opinions are solely my own.
