Problem with Ipod Touch 8gb and Monster Beats Solo HD

 Apple Ipod Smiley Frustratedo guys , i bought an Ipod Touch there in this january , and 2 weeks later , when i got back to Brazil , my cousin did me the favor to crack my screen pretty good . So now , im wondering ,what can i do to fix it ,because the Apple Support here said that they would only give me a discount to buy a new one  ( and its a REALLY cheap discount ) , and if i choose to fix it from a unauthorized apple store , it would cost something like 300 dollars or so . ( Thats even more than i paid for the entire thing ) . So , as you can see , my country cant actually help me out on this one . Do you guys have any advice for what i could do ?   

 

P.S. : I paid like 20 bucks for a special kind of insurance . Not sure if it would do me any good now .

Monster Beats : So ...as a lot of people ,  i think the headphones are great . But i really thing they are  "popped " ( not sure whats the english term tho  )  , i can still hear music and stuff but sometimes some kind of noise ( very annoying  btw )  starts to come out , mostly when in low pitch notes ( again , not sure whats the english term lol ) like in hip hop songs and stuff .. Is there anything i can do for this one too ?

Hi!

Well the cheapest protection plan on your iPod is $34 so i dont know if thats what you have but yes that would be covered. You need to call 888 Best-buy to see if they can assist you. The beats you can technically exchange because of the defect. It would be easier if you were stateside. Good luck!

ms_bby, thanks for the help bro . I can't call them currently because im having some trouble with my skype account and calling from a normal phone is out of the book . ( its TOO expensive )
So i tried to email them and see what they can do for me . Again , thanks for the help and wish me luck Smiley Happy

Ok almost 10 days since i sent a email to both Best buy and Monster and have received no reply . So i wonder, will i really need to call them ? If so , Best buy, Monster or Apple ?

I was disappointed to read about the problem with your iPod! If you have Geek Squad Black Tie Protection, Geek Squad can offer you service for the iPod, but it will need to be brought to a Best Buy store. Knowing that you're in Brazil, I realize that complicates matters.

John , i believe i have this Geek Squad Black Tie Protection since with my bill is a paper with " It's like having a geek always with you " and some info on service plans and replacement plans . And since you said that i have to take my ipod to a Best Buy Store, i wonder if i can mail it to one ... Is that possible ?

P.S : Both best buy and monster still didn't gave any reply .

Unfortunately, you'll need to visit a Best Buy store in person to acquire service for your iPod. I regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you haven't had a response from Monster by email, you might wish to try calling them at 877.800.8989. I hope this helps.
