I have to buy a new laptop after some scumbag kicked down my front door and stole my year old laptop along with all my family's jewelry.  I have been frantically searching for my 10-12% coupon so that I could go to Best Buy, but it seems that Best Buy has stopped mailing these.  There are very few choices in store, so if Best Buy wants me to spend $1000+ on a new laptop I hope someone is listening.  I have already spoken to a rep at Compusa in Raleigh, NC where I am from and he has a pretty decent setup waiting for me.  If I hear back from Best Buy I will wait to purchase, but I am ready to get something ASAP.

I am in the same boat as Tullaroan,

I do have a couple coupons from best buy, but it seems like they have made a point not to include any of the coupons in the laptop category. Just last week I purchased a laptop for my husband and used the in store pickup- I don't think I will be using that service any more- I stood in the front of a line for almost 20 minutes before I could even get anyone to acknowledge I was there- If we had not been in dire need of the laptop that day I would have waited or used some other service.

Now I am in the market for a laptop myself, since my Acer Laptop likes to think about everything it does for 5 minutes before responding. What I want to know is, Does Best Buy issue any kind of coupons for laptops or computers?, or is it just everything else in the store. I just got some more store coupons in my email this morning, but it looks like the only category that is omitted is the laptop and computer category- the one thing I need to buy.

I plan on spending a lot of money on this, but my just go to the dell website and order one and wait for it since I can get a better deal.

Very rarely will you find coupons for computers. On most models, retailers make next to nothing, and they may actually lose money on some of them. The money is made on the accessories, which is why you find coupons for computer accessories.

I have recently suffered the same fate and I was wondering if any of the coupons issued to rewards members can be used for laptop purchases.  Having a coupon would help to offset the 10% tax in chicago.  Thanks for any help.

Apparently Best Buy does not make very much off their laptops, but if you go to gotapex.com and check out the coupon specials you can get a dell laptop for as much as 400-600$ off!!! This is the route I am going after being snubbed at my local best buy for the 3rd time!! I couldn't buy a laptop there if I had wads of cash in my hand!
