Re: Points Gone

Hi theunknown,

I am very sorry for any disappointment.  As I mentioned above, I welcome you to send me a private message if you would like me to look into the specifics of your situation to see if there is something that can be done to help!

If you are interested, please send a private message to me by clicking on the “private message” envelope in the upper right-hand corner of the page and then composing a new message to my username “SARAH-BBY” (when signed in) - and please make sure to include your Reward Zone member number.  :smileywink:

Thanks and have a great day!

Re: Points Gone

I agree with everyone who says this new policy is bogus.  Best Buy has also lost me as a customer.  It doesn't matter that I only had about 140 points.  It serves no good purpose for BB to do this.  I've had a lot of customer service problems with BB but they did not lose me as a customer only because of the Rewards program.  Now that the program is bogus, I will never shop there again and will tell everyone I know the same.  The only thing that could keep me still shopping there is to get all of my points back.

Re: Points Gone

I still prefer RZ over other rewards programs I am a member of.  Most other programs have their points expire every quarter.  Yes BB is trying to get members to spend more money, but isn't that the goal of all businesses?

I lost all my points too I'm so close from a $5 cert with 235.  This is not a good program if this is the rule now then after i make 1 final purchase I'll cancel my membership.

You think thats bad? Best buy stole $5 from me over over .02 reward points...   -249.98

I  dont think best buy would like it if I use their math and round down any future purchases(if any),  $4.999599968 = $0

Re: Points Gone

That's not possible. RZ points are only awarded in whole points. You do not get fractions of a point for anything under $1. 99 cents doesn't equal .99 points, it's 0 points.

Thats not what their website says

Date Type Club Description Location Order Number/Customer Service PIN Points

02/12/2010 Forfeited Pts.
Annual Point Expiration. See Program Rules.N/AN/A-249.98

Re: Points Gone

Must be an internal tracking thing. The description of the program states that the minimum amount for which a point is earned is $1. If you spend 99 cents and are a RZPS member, even though you earn 25% extra points, you still wouldn't get a point.

Either way its still pathetic.

They can keep my other $5 certificate, I'm not stepping foot in another bestbuy again.
