Re: annual point forfeit

The points are calculated until December 31st purchases and then anything below 250 is lost.   I feel its a stupid thing punishing best buy customers...why don't they just do this to those who barely use the card at all ....

It'll be around February...probably the 2nd or something like that

Re: annual point forfeit

That is incorrect. Anything that posts before the february date is lost, per corporate. Here is a good posting about it from Kyle-BBY:

Points earned during December holiday shopping of the previous year would become available in January and, if not, then they are automatically issued out in the forum of certificates during the Annualization in February so they are not entirely lost.

One other factor to note is that Annualization does not apply to Reward Zone program Credit Card members, Reward Zone program MasterCard cardmembers, or Premier Silver members.

If you bought something in the beginningish of january and it posted before the date of the annualization, which as been around mid february sometime, it would be lost or cashed out if there was enough points for a cert.

Re: annual point forfeit

sorry, if I had my dates confused....I've hated this annualization thing since it was implemented. This year I will lose 115 points...I forgot to take my 100 points for Hulu Plus into my calculations and now instead of 13-15 ponts, I lose more...

Re: annual point forfeit

To offer some further clarification, points are earned from January 1- December 31. The annualization is seen in February as points earned in December do not post until January. Please see the information below for more information found in our FAQ at www.MYRZ.com:

When do points expire?
At the beginning of every calendar year, the points in your account (except for Reward Zone program Credit Card members, Reward Zone program MasterCard cardmembers and Premier Silver members) will be issued as reward certificates down to the $5 level, and any remaining points will be forfeited.

You will begin earning points for the new calendar year on January 1. For example, if you have 300 points, you will receive a $5 reward certificate (250 Points) and you will forfeit 50 points.
