After dealing with this reward zone joke for over a month, I am convinced that the problems that I am dealing with are actually a part of their business model. If it wasn't, why would they not simply link your RW number and your rewards? When checking out you put in your RZ number and the cashier asks if you want to use your reward?
Amazon does this flawlessly on their web site. No numbers, no printing, no apps, no anything. What a concept!
Instead in an attempt to get my reward I have:
1. Called customer service. I seriously couldn't understand a word she was saying. Hey Best Buy- outsourcing CS is so 2005.
2. Tried every variation of capitalization in my log-in. Who has ever had a caps issue with an email log-in? In order to do this they had to actually set it up for this. If I have joe@gmail.com there isn't a different person with JOE@gmail and joe@GMAIL. This had to be a concerted effort to thwart the customer. It harkens back to the old mail in rebate scams of the 90's.
3. Stared intently at the challange letters. Did they ask reCAPTCHA to make the challange as hard as possible to read? Heck, put letters right on top of each other if possible. Did they pay extra for this "service?" It's easier to log in to my bank account on a computer in a cafe in Columbia.
4. Tried asking for help here. Did not receive one response. I may be confused but I thought this was actually run by Best Buy. I apologize if it isn't. Could you please add a "not-affiliated" banner here if I am wrong?
Sorry if this sounds like a rant. They got me for $30. As someone that considers myself to be an eduacated consumer, it just bums me out that i fell for it.
Back to the Big River for this consumer.
For others posting here. Keep up the good fight. They beat me down. Too old to be treated this way when there are other options available.

For those of you that have come to the realization that this forum is really just another layer of protection for BB to keep the consumer at arms length while they continue to reap the rewards from expired certificates:
Please file a complaint with your state's attorney general. In most states it is very easy and will only take a few minutes of your time. I have filed this morning with the Arizona AG and it literally took only five minutes of my time.

I'm not really sure what your response adds to the conversation. There is a huge problem with the RZ program. The evidence is all over this site. You do realize that there are people that can't get their certificates?
There are so many analogies I could use but I think you are very confused about what is happening to many many customers.
I did receive a phone call from someone at the AG's office this afternoon. They indicated that they had visited this site (I provided the link in my complaint) and I'm not the only one from Arizona reporting the problems. They have asked me to send them all the certificate emails I received. Time will tell if they will persue it but at least I did my part.
Anyone experiencing issues that they can't resolve... please report it.
I'm thinking you will do BB a service. I simply can't believe the top command is aware of what the low-level people are doing. It's obvious that there are many people in this department that need to go. I can't believe that they are trying to manage this program in-house but maybe enough complaints will help them see the errors of their ways.
