Problem: I am not getting any points from my purchases anymore because bestbuy customer service on the phone said I have a negative points balance due to a refund(!!!) I made.
I made a purchase of Logitech G29 racing wheel and its shifter (removed per forum guidelines) on Oct 20, 2016.
After a few days I received a package with racing wheel BUT instead of its shifter bestbuy sent me a cellphone... so I immediately called bestbuy and told them that they sent me the wrong item. The woman on the phone said they are sorry and they will send the correct item. I thanked her and hanged up the phone. After a few minutes I realized from the incoming email that they are sending me a second racing wheel (racing wheel = $300 whereas shifter = $40). So I called them again and said that they are again sending wrong item and tried them to cancel sending wrong item. They said they already initiated shipment and they can't cancel it so what they advised me was to reject shipment. So I rejected shipment and item was returned back to bestbuy. Meanwhile they sent me shifter and everything was looking like OK at this point...
On January 6th, I received another email from bestbuy saying that they accepted my racing wheel return(!!!) and refunded me $300 (!!!). I immediately called them and told everything and as a honest person I also gave $300 back to bestbuy.
After January 6, I made a couple of purchases and I expected more than 600 points for those purchases in my account. However, I couldn't get any points. I called bestbuy customer service twice for that issue and they told me I have negative points balance due to a return I made on Jan 6th (!!!). Now, how can I explain what is going on to that person on the phone??? So I decided to write here...
