I too have made multiple product reviews to which I have recieved 0 points for every single one of them despite the promise of 25 points per review. I see the popular response from BBY is that the points can take up to 20 days to show up, however; many of the reviews I've made are several months old and still I have recieved 0 points for them. After seeing several others sharing the same problem, and only seeing a canned response from BBY representitives that does nothing to resolve the issue, I am beginning to think this 'points for reviews' thing is just a scam to get loyal customers to provide free product hype.

I did some grocery shopping over the weekend but completely forgot to stock up on canned responses.  I bought some black beans though.  When it was first announced a few years back that members could start earning bonus points for product reviews on BestBuy.com I was excited.  Who can't use extra points?  If you are a few points away from earning a reward certificate but are not ready to make a purchase, then submit a product review.  I have personally utilized that incentive on several occasions.

 

I don't think there is any secret that we like when a product on BestBuy.com has a lot of reviews.  Those reviews could potentially help another customer make an important purchase decision.  I tend to not spend my money without first reading reviews, especially if the sum of the money being spent will be higher.  Our members can earn 25 bonus points for a review that is published on BestBuy.com with a maximum of 200 bonus points (8 reviews) per member per calendar year.

 

As far as your My Best Buy™ account, you may have already been awarded the 200 point maximum if you are starting to see zeros pop up for reviews in your rewards history.  We still welcome members to write reviews even after having already received the 200 max.  If you have any additional questions about your account, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will take a look.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button found in my signature.

Was not aware of the 200-point limit. Thank you for pointing out! Please make sure to have your associates communicate that point in their responses to the issue as well. That limit not being well known about is likely everyone's issue. And thank you for the humor!

I agree.  We should be mentioning the 200 maximum in each response to questions about bonus points for product reviews.  I will definitely keep a close eye out going forwards.  It looks like you have sent me a private message, which I will reply to shortly.  You can read private messages by clicking on the envelope icon at the top of the page after having logged into the forum.
