Problem with certificate issue

February 27, 2017 Purchase made JANUARY 24, 2017. We were told that if we put our purchase on Best Buy credit card (newly issued), that we would receive 10% back to use in Best Buy. It has been well OVER a month. Called and called (and called again) and keep getting told that the lack of issue of points is a "technical" one. Only half of the percentage (5%) was issued. Why not the full 10% as promised? Called again. Was told that it would be possibly 45 days before the points (pending) would be issued. The credit card was used. The credit card has been paid (in full.) We fulfilled our end of the agreement. Why isn't Best Buy fulfilling its promise of the 10%? Why only 5%?

Missing credit card bonus points

I bought a TV and sound bar almost a month ago with my BB visa, and while the base points have shown up for me, the "My Best Buy Visa Purchase Bonus" that I usually see has not.

 

The purchase was made on 2/3, so I gave it some time, but the situation hasn't changed.  To answer the obvious question, I did not choose the financing option in lieu of reward zone points.  The associate who sold me the TV asked me and I specifically said "No, I want to take the 6% back in points".

 

Can a mod check to see the status of those points and make sure that the associate didn't incorrectly select the financing option?  I'd like to address this quickly, because the speakers I want to purchase are on sale this week and I'd like to use those points to put a big dent in the price.

Missing rewards points, breach of promise, should this be escalated to Better Business Bureau?

there are multiple posts about missing rewards points.

the points are not just points, they are CASH EQUIVALENTS, and by bestBuy not processing them, they are essentially in breach of a sale contract.

should we push this to Better Business Bureau, or can BestBuy fix this RAPIDLY (not weeks from now?)

I'm sure BestBuy does not want this escalated..

Pending points issue fixed?

If the pending points issue has been fixed, then why are my points still pending. I was told a fix was rolled out last week. It's sad that my purchase was made with a Best Buy credit card and I have already recieved my bill and paid it off and it has cleared the bank but my points are still pending?

This is almost $100 in points that I was told I would have within 20 days, if I was this late with a $100 payment on my Best Buy card, I would be charged a late fee. Am I going to recieve a late fee in points for the points not being in my account by the date they were supposed to be? My guess is NO....

Pending points issue?

First thing, I keep creating new post because my post keeps getting moved to a locked thread where I can not reply.

I have not taken it to private message because there is no information being posted that needs to be private, it's a public issue that a lot of people are having and I'm sure they would like to see the discussion.

 

I have read the blanket response that everyone keeps getting but I'm trying to point out the flaw in the so called fix.

 

The problem is that points are showing pending longer than they should be, and the fix appears to be that it's fixed but it may take awhile before it appears correctly on my end. So basically the fix is the same as the initial problem.

 

I am not trying to be a jerk, but basically everyone is being told you'll get it when you get it....

That's just not very good customer service in my eyes.

I'm pleased to provide an update advising that most of you should now be seeing this issue corrected! It's my understanding this fix is still being rolled out to a select few remaining accounts, but for the most part, you should all be good to go.
