I registered recently. Are coupons sent by email or mail?

If I haven't recieved my October coupon, can one be sent via email? or will the store honor the standard coupon once I present my rewards card?  I'm wanting to purchase a D90 this Friday.  But I'm looking at purchasing it with an online store which will be free shipping and no taxes.... but I would rather purchase it at BB if I had a coupon that would offset the taxes.
