First off - I accept responsibility I knew I had to use it by the 15th of this month. I had planned to use it on the 9th to purchase LEGO Worlds for my son's birthday. Unfortunately we were sidelined by a death in the family and I spent my time planning a wake, funeral, etc.
I went to use the certificate yesterday and realized I was one day out of use. I know this is an unusual circumstance and BBY doesn't have to do anything to help, but the goodwill would go a long way in this situation. I've forgotten and let them expire before without asking for an exception, but in this case I'd appreciate some consideration.

First and foremost, you have my sincerest condolences. Dealing with the loss of a family member would of course take precedence over redeeming a reward certificate, so I can understand why this certificate wouldn't have been a priority.
With that said, under our My Best Buy program terms, we are not able to reissue expired certificates. I'm truly sorry for any disappointment that this news may cause you. Please know though that I have some additional information I would like to share with you regarding your account via private message. You may check your private messages by signing into the forum then clicking the envelope icon in the top right corner of the page.
