Disappointed to see pre march points not grandfather in.

I was ready manually issue a $10 cert but I saw that purchases I made before the 0.5 point per $1 change were also affected cutting my point balance in half. Guess theres no reason to save up points for larger certificate sums when a yearly policy change can remove your saved points.

Hello Jonocade -

Welcome to the forum! It's awesome to hear you were looking to convert some points into a reward certificate. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have as many points as you had thought.

Using the details you registered with the forum, I see you've been a My Best Buy core member. With that said, please know that your tier status didn't expire at the end of February like many of our customers' memberships. However, we did have some changes at the end of August 2016 that impacted how quickly customers earned points. As such, purchases prior to this change should have earned the 1 point per $1, while purchases after would earn 1 point for ever $2.

I apologize if you were unaware of this change. I truly hope that this news does not impact your decision to shop with us in the future. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Regards,
