Best Buy Online Name

Hello!

 

I am trying to get the name changed on the account that I just made on Best Buy online but there is no option to do so and I cant find an email address to contact or a phone number to call. 

 

I put everything in my own name with my information (email, phone number) however it automatically put the name that was on the credit card instead of my own. I wanted to get this resolved and get it into my name so that there is no confusion.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for reaching out to us regarding the name reflected on an account! Under very specific circumstances can we update a name on a membership, as mentioned in the post below. 

 

How do I update my My Best Buy™ information?

 

With that said, account ownership is determined by the name it is originally registered under. If we have no purchase history reflecting your name was the one originally registered, we wouldn't have a way to confirm this and would be unable to modify the name.

 

I know this may not be the news you were hoping for. In such instances, you may consider updating the account information to the person whose name it is registered under so they can take it over, freeing up your information to register in your name.
