I will be happy to help you in merging the two accounts. To merge accounts, the accounts in question must have the same matching name. If what you are trying to do is combine two Reward Zone accounts, your husband and yours, unfortunate at the moment Best Buy® is not able to do that for you.

What about if a married couple gets a bbyrz MasterCard jointly but the first item they buy with the card is with the a preexisting rz membership in my name. The automatic rz account created when we opened the card shows my wife's name. Is there a way to fix this so I can close the old account and merge the points? The only points on the old account were purchased with the MasterCard. Thank you for your time.

The same thing happened to me. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT call them. They are snotty, rude and will not help you.

In my experience you are out of luck. They will not fix their own mistakes.

Shop elsewhere is my advice.
