10% reward of new myBestBuy card

I spent $1000 (invoice bar #: {removed per forum guidelines} by my new myBestBuy card on 1/1/2018 and was told that I could get 10% reward. However, I only got 5%. I reported the issue in online “Chat with an Expert” for help in February and he/she said that he/she created a ticket for the issue and will send me an email with the ticket number and the chat record, but I did not received the email.

Greetings dwu, and welcome to the Best Buy forum!

 

I wish that I could take advantage of the 10% back offer again.  It definitely came in handy.  I mean who couldn't use some extra points?  If the purchase you processed back in January was the first purchase made with your newly approved My Best Buy™ credit card and you selected standard financing, then you should qualify for 10% back in points.  It can generally take up to 20 days for points from an eligible purchase to officially post to a member's account.

 

I pulled up your account using the email address that you registered with the forum and confirmed that your purchase did qualify for 10% back in points.  Since we are beyond 20 days, I may need to step in to ensure the remaining 5% back is added to your account.  I will be sending you a private message shortly so that I can go over your account with you in greater detail.  To read a private message, you would want to click on the envelope icon at the top of the page.

You confirmed and added back 5% reward back to my account in May. I just checked on my account and plan to use the reward today, but It is not there and seems to be missing.

The points were added and converted into a reward certificate, which appears to have expired.  You should be able to see in your rewards history that the points were converted into a certificate.  A certificate will generally be valid for a period of 60 days unless noted otherwise.  I am going to send you a follow up private message shortly so that I can go over your account with you once again, which you can read by clicking on the envelope at the top of the page.  I would suggest going forward trying to login to your account more often.
