I purchased Grand Theft Auto San Andreas two weeks ago on Best Buy's website.  Installed the pc app successfully, found the game and tried to download it.  Initially, all I got was a "download error" message.  After turning off firewall and anti-virus, the download will start, but never gets past 0%.  

I have plenty of hard drive space available (123 GB free).  I am running windows vista.

I have tried:

• Leaving the download running overnight for up to 12 hours.  No change.
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the PC App
• Deleting the file in the Digital Shelf folder (recommended when I called Best Buy's support line)
• All the above in different combinations.

2 weeks ago, when I spoke with Geek Squad online, they said they were referring it to their specialists and would get back to me in a week.  Haven't heard anything, so i figured I'd try out this forum.

Any ideas?

Wild guesses...

What browser are you using?
-Try a different browser.
-minimize everything, sometimes there's a dialog box asking for permission
-sometimes a firewall product can be blocking a new site. Download the latest patches.
-and yes, sometimes the site might be overwhelmed. Try again a few hours later. The weekend does not help.

I'm sorry for not getting to your post until now.  I realize a few days have passed since you wrote and, given the nature of digital downloads, you've likely been working to figure out the issue still.  Before I take any next steps, have you made any progress on your end?

No, I haven't had any luck as of yet.  There hasn't been any change the past few times that I've tried.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.  I've actually got an email out to our PC App team requesting additional research into your issues so I should be hearing back from them early next week with some sort of fix.  My apologies again for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience.  Can you give the download a try again after 4 p.m. CT?  We have updated some of the game files on our servers and that should correct the issue when they refresh.
