I'm currently trying to download grand theft auto and the download is going extremely slow. It has been almost 12 hours and the download is only 11% done, and I also know its not an issue with my internet speed because i just did a test and im at 20 mbps  currently. I was just wondering if it is always this slow and is there  a way to speed the download up because i honestly don't wanna wait a week for a game that I decided to buy a digital download copy for. Thanks for any help

I totally get that you went the digital download route to get the game right away so I'm sorry things aren't going as quickly as you had planned.  It's tough to pin down a specific reason to why your download would be taking so long since there are so many factors involved in that speed, unfortunately.  

I am not aware of any issues currently slowing down things on our end and the PC App team typically loops me in if there is.  

Are you experiencing any slow down when using the internet for other functions?

No I'm not but i just recently noticed that the game is downloading 5% at a time like it downloads 5% then i have to quit out of the pc app then re open it and start the download again it downloads another 5% and then freezes and then I'm having to repeat that so currently my download is at 60%, but this is just a bit tedious.

Well it sounds like the game is downloading, albeit very slowly and in pieces, but I don't believe this is being caused by the game files on our end or anything like that.  Nevertheless, I've sent an email to our PC App team to get their take on it and I'll let you know what they say as soon as I hear back.

Sorry for the delayed response.  The PC App team did update some file names for this title on our end in attempt to speed things up but they advised that this may just be downloading slowly due to the files being upwards of 18GB.  I hope you were able to download it by now but let me know if not.
