Hi all,
I am having serious trouble downloading a game I bought online with Best Buy: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas. I log into the PC app and hit the "download and install" button. Everything is fine until I hit the "Begin download" button. The status says its queued, but then I get an error message saying "there was an unexpected error with the application." It doesn't tell me what the error was. I tried reinstalling the app to no avail.
Please help.

I tried again today and it is still giving me an error! Please tell me what to do. I trust problems are resolved here?

Hello shoeleprich,
I apologize for the delayed response. Since you have tried the download multiple times there may have been some incomplete files that downloaded or something that is causing an error with PC App finding the proper place to store them on your hard drive.
Try deleting whatever files have been previously downloaded and re-downloading by doing this...
Let me know if that works!

Thanks, I imagine you must be fairly busy with all of these things. I followed your listed actions and unfortunately I still get the error again. Is there something else I can do?

Hmmm, ok. I don't have any other ideas off the top of my head but if you can hang tight for just a little while longer I'm going to ask the PC App team what they think. I should have a response from them in about a day or so.

Ok shoeleprich, we updated something in the catalog on our end for this title so give the download a shot again and let me know if it works!

Whatever you did, thank you very much! The download appears to be working! No error message. I will repost here to let you know if it fully downloaded and installed correctly.
