Hello,
I puchased Supreme Commander 2 yesterday evening, and have been thus far unable to download the software.
I've taken the preliminary troubleshooting steps (temporarily disabled AV/Firewall, deleted destination folder, restarted machine), which unfortunately did not yield success.
The status immediately switches to "Download Error" once the "Begin Download" or "Restart" button is clicked.
On the rare occasion it doesn't fail immediately, it just hangs at 0%.
Any suggestions or insight would be helpful.
Thanks,
Erich

Hi ERaasch,
I am running this by our PC App team. It sounds like you've done your fair share of troubleshooting and have already taken the steps I would have suggested so we'll see what the PC App team has to say. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from them!

Much Obliged, Kyle.
I know this isn't your issue, but... Digital River apparently doesn't respond to customer support requests. At all.
I only found the forum by google searching the issue I was having, which, don't get me wrong, I'm glad I did, but it's kind of odd that they just blatantly ignore their userbase.
But, I digress.
Thanks in advance for the help!

No problem!
I'm not sure if there was some misleading info posted on our site or something but our digital downloads are handled in-house now - no longer through Digital River - so I'm sorry if you've been trying to contact them for support.
Anyways, due to this title, Supreme Commander 2, undergoing some recent DRM (Digital Right Management) updates with our vendor, Game Tap, we are actually required to direct you to Steam for the download and activation. We are in the process of updating our catalog and fulfillment process to reflect these changes but here are the steps you'll need to take to download your game:
I'm really sorry you had to go through contacting us to find this out, which meant you couldn't play your game right away but you should be all set now!
