I recently purchased the PC Downloadable version of F.E.A.R. 2. I installed the PC App and recieved my key, however, each time I try to activate it on Steam, I get an invalid key error. F.E.A.R. 2 supports retail activation on Steam, and to my knowledge, judging by what I found on the forums,  Best Buy game keys can be activated on Steam.

Is there simply an issue with my key? Any support with this would be very very helpful, as I would rather not have just wasted 21$. Thank you.

The key seems to not work to activate the game under any circumstances, in fact.

Support on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the PMs. The key is still unused, as I purchased it for use with Steam and I am also still getting the invalid key error. I got a reply from the Steam Support claiming that the key is "not valid for use in Steam." This, howevver, clearly contradicts what they have stated on their site regarding retail activations.

I hope this can be sorted out soon enough.
