I need help finding a graphics card that can play GTA iv.
My PC's model number is a6700y. (HP privation)
I am on a very tight budget of about $50-70.
It also needs to be able to run on 300W.
I was wondering if this would run GTA IV. (excluding the graphics card/chipset)

The only card I see that would work with your power supply is this:
Its a Geforce 210 and is on sale for $49.99
It works with a 300 Watt Power Supply. Its not going to be your big gaming card, but its a huge step up from the integrated graphics.

THNX for the recommendation. I most likely will go with that one.
i was also wondering if a 8500GT 1GB or a 8500GT 512MB would be better than this.
IF i got any one of these cards could i run it???

Here's the thing...your PC probably can provide enough power. However, the card you end up with may or may not require dedicated power which your power supply might not offer. High-end cards always require dedicated power from the PSU whereas mid-range cards may or may not require it and low-end cards rarely if ever require it. Since there are no versions of your desktop model that ship with anything other than integrated graphics, I can't give you an answer based on what HP would stuff in your machine if you had ordered it from them but I think you'll likely be okay if you stick with a 512MB card that has a reccommended PSU requirement of less than 400w.

do you think i could get a 1gb 8600GT???? if a cant then ill just get a 8600GT 512...

I'd stick with the 512. The 1GB mid-range cards almost always require dedicated power due to the additional memory and cooling requirements.

TY SOO MUCH! i looked closer at the pictures and the 1gb did need a dedicated power. the 512 didn't. im for sure getting the 8600GT 512MB. Thanks all for helping =)
