I origianly had purchased a physical copy before knowing there was not going to be access to beta events with them. I then returned it and got a digital version. I never got a key and was going nuts. I was in pm's with Kyle and in the store and finally called BB customer support.
I downloaded the BB pc app before I ordered on-line and never got the code. I waited 3 days then called BB support, while on the phone with BB I logged into my account from the BB homepage (NOT THE BB PC APP ON MY DESKTOP).
There was link on there that lead me to my recent purchases. I went there and on that page there's a list of stuff you have purchased along with receipt/order numbers for each purchase. I found my order for the digital version and clicked those numbers....lo and behold it took me to the pc app and there was my serial number to use for the download. It was listed right under the "My Downloads" part of the app. I cut and pasted it and got my conformation from GW2 within minutes. Just to see if it worked I clicked on my desktops shortcut for BB pc app....and it STILL to this day doesn't have it listed. However going to Best Buys homepage and my purchases ect does have it listed. Strange bug that cost me a lotta grief.
I hope this helps some of you. If you pre-ordered a physical copy I would recommend getting a refund and going digital.

Yeah I totally wouldn't have bought this game from BB either, not worth the hassle. I have learned my lesson! I got the PC app working and everything but my order was processed, but no email saying it was ready to be redeemed....

This is what happens.................
can't even get a box at a store for pick up with a couple of numbers on it when both parties say they are ready and are not.....
Now no one except those that refund with a legit card can be legit. And those without that legitness, the (sic) peasants.....
BB and NCSOFT can just poop on em with their poop heads and their poop mouths.............*south park like pooping*

Thank you Alebelly40! I would've sat here all day waiting for my serial code to be emailed to me if I hadn't read your post.
Alebelly is right. You have to run the PC app and then go to My Downloads. It lists the serial code there. Then you go to the GW2 register site and put that serial number in. Beta here I come!

That's great for the people that have access to the app. There are tons of us sitting here on out thumbs wondering w.t.f is going on. We can't login to the app and bestbuy isn't replying to any threads on the issue. The yeven tried to charge ME to have geeksquad remote in to my computer to fix a problem on thier end.

I have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 from best buy, and I was told I would be sent an email with a code that would allow me to register for the game. I received no such email. I recieved 3 e-mails for m best buy, one welcoming me to BestBuy.com, one saying we received your order, and one saying that my digital product was ready to download. I checked my spam folder to see if the email containing the code had been somehow mistakenly sent there, it had not. I also attempted to download the best buy pc app and it would not allow me to log in. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall the pc app, but it gave me only the optionto repair the client. I decided to see if this would be more successful, but it failed to achieve anything, and now I cannot even open the pc app, let alone log in. If anyone could help me find why I have not received the email containing the serial code I need to play the game, and could help me with my defunct pc app, I would be greatly appreciative. I have two friends Who have purchased the game from Gamestop, and they encountered no problems. I would love to play this game, but I don't want to pay $120 for it because best buy did not give me the copy I originally purchased...

They are not participating in the pre-order beta access if you paid for a PHYSICAL version. I found out the hard way.
If you ordered a DIGITAL the BB app sucks. Go the actuall Bestbuy.com website. Log into your account. Click on "View Orders". Locate your digital purchase and click on the "Order number"-it's blue. Then on next screen click "Go to my downloads" it should be there. My BB app I downloaded and have on my desktop still doesn't work but this did.
This only works for DIGITAL downloads.
