I also want to pre purchase a physical box copy of the game and still get all the pre purchase bonuses, i always prefer to have discs and not just a digital download version.

Hey "noctmonster",

A few pages back "prowlingfree" mentioned this in a well-stated synopsis of the current situation.  There is only one serial key code for digital versions.

All pre-purchase codes for the digital versions include access to both the beta client and the retail game client (once it's available for download by Anet). You shouldn't need another code after that since you already paid in full and there is no physical box to deal with.  As long as the GW2 website accepted the serial code you are good to go. Once the retailer has done their part by providing you with a valid code you will be under the hands of ArenaNet/NCSoft.

In your case, since you pre-purchased, you will be able to download the game client prior to release so you can participate in the 3-day headstart access.

I purchased the DD standard version, found it on my BB PC App, but the download constantly fails immediately with a 'download error' in the app... Anyone help me with this? I registered my key already is there another place to get the client? Or is the DD from Best Buy the only way for me to get the client? Geek Squad was unable to figure out why my download immediately was failing on both lap top and desktop... anti-virus software all turned off for the download.... Help pls! Hex

hey juju217! thanks for clearing that up I was sort of confused but I'm ok now. Should I downlaod the client from the bb app? I'm not sure what that is since Anet hasnt release the client..

Hex, I'm having this same problem.  Got my key just fine, but the client download is not working on the BB Pc App.  When I registered my key on the GW2 site, it said "The game client will be available shortly; we will send you an e-mail with a download link" - so where should I expect to be getting the client from?  BB's app or a later email from GW2?  Confusion!

Sorry, I can't help much in that area as I don't have any experience with the PC app from Best Buy.   I'm still waiting on news about the CE and how it will be presented.

I don't know if the app is really needed to play GW2 other than to retrieve the serial key.  I would wait until Anet provides an official download link instead.  And if you do decide to wait, be wary of clicking on links from any unofficial sources or spoofed emails; better to go directly to the official Guild Wars 2 website.

Hello, I prepurchased Guild Wars 2 on April 10th as an "in-store pick up". I didn't receive any e-mails regarding the prepurchase bonuses however, and just recently read this thread about the digital versions being available for purchase. My question was if I need to cancel my order and then order the digital version to receive the bonuses and if so will the gift cards I used to purchase my physical copy be refunded so I may use them to purchase the digital version? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated, thank!
