Ok everyone, this should be all the information you need.

We will not be participating in the pre-order BETA access or other exclusive bonuses that require pre-purchase for Guild Wars 2.  We were listed on the Guild Wars 2 website as a participating retailer in error and that should be coming down soon.

However, we will be selling pre-orders for the Guild Wars 2 Collector's Edition and that should be available this Friday, April 13th, on BestBuy.com and in-stores.  The standard edition is available for pre-order right now!

Dear Kyle-BB I have question regarding Collector's Edition of Guild Wars 2 according what you  have post

on April 13th which is Friday I can go to the bestbuy store and buy CE of GW2 in physical form which would include everything (the art book , statue , photo frame , soundtrack etc. ) Or you just place the pre-order and w8 until specific date to pick this up?

I'm glad you guys could confirm today at all, but I sadly had to give my business to Gamestop. Between Best Buy and Gamestop I think Best Buy would get my money in any other case.

ArenaNet's official Guild Wars 2 Twitter says this post is misinformed:

Matthew093, April 13th is when the sku for the Collector's Edition will finally be in their system so that it can be pre-ordered.  The CE box will not be available until Guild Wars 2 goes live to the public later this year.  An official release date has yet to be announced by guildwars2.com

I just got off a chat with Ncsoft. After 1 hour and 30 minutes here is the response from the GM who talked to the CM and here is what they said.

"GM Lorelai: I see. We will look into why the website is displaying Best Buy for the collector's edition. Currently, the only retailer selling the CE is GameStop.
Walter Woofenden: ok I was told it was added 4 days ago so I was all happy till I got there to get it and they had no clue, the corparare hear something about it but they can not talk to the people who would know anything so basically I was sol to know should I chance gamestop or expect bestbuy to have it in the next couple days due to a problem getting the info entered into the computer
GM Lorelai: The Guild Wars 2 support lead has just assured me that GameStop is the only retailer carrying the CE."

So which is it the normal version is what you will get all the info for on Friday or is the Support lead incorrect?
