Many of us Guild War 2 fans have preordered the game from Best Buys across the world. So here we are, HOURS away from the beta weekend event closing. We have called customer service. We have been told that we will receive an email soon. We have been waiting for countless days to receive them. But nothing. We have got nothing. This is extremely disappointing, and since the Nice Customer Service man told me I would get the code 24 to 72 hours after Friday night, and the email was not given to me, I'm going to expect some sort of compensation from Best Buy in the near future. One last thing. I swear, if I get the email tomorrow morning, I will never shop at Best Buy again.

I preordered GW2 about 1 month ago at Best Buy in Enfield, Connecticut, and I didn't receive an email or serial code on the receipt to register an account on their site, so here I am, 1 day away from the end of the beta weekend event. I've contacted best buy, both the store I pre ordered it from, and the main building, however they gave me a case number and put in a word to get me a code in the next 72 hours to my email, (I called on Friday the 27th), BUT in 72 hours the event would be over and I would miss out at the chance I've been wanting to play so much! Please can someone help me, so I can make it on in time!

Been waiting since march 29th with pre-order edition waiting for a email, which I did call in about a week after ordering. They said to wait for a serial code. But from what I have read they apparently , "told the public" that they wouldn't have the serial codes in time. Even though on the Guild Wars 2 FAQ it states: WE DO NOT HAVE TEH CODES , WE GAVE THOSE TO THE RETAILERS.
Seriously, cant every copy just be the same as the digital version with this serial code given? Everythings already processed...
What is there like 7hrs left of Beta?

Ikr so I just called them again, and they said they are trying to get my order to come through faster, so until then, I'm stalking my email, and when I got an email that said Best Buy I was all , but then it turned out to be that someone just commented on my post... :/

I bought this game on Thursday...71 hours of calling the Best Buy phone line 20+ times and getting a different non helpful response every time. 71 hours of waiting for online support in the Best Buy forums. I feel so frustrated I could cry. I'm still in processing and the guaranteed Guild Wars 2 event through pre-purchase is going to pass me by.
I want compensation for their false advertising of their guaranteed weekend play through pre-purchase, for making me wait 71 hours without any help (though they have stated that they are working on the issue), and the sleep I lost trying to just...get a simple code. Why are they taking so long to solve this issue? All we needed was the code.
I'm exhausted; never in my life have I experienced such a stressful process of buying something that was supposed to be simple and ended up borderline fraudulent.

It would appear that you had a pre-purchase for the physical version of the game before we stopped selling it. We had sent out communications to customers with those pre-purchases advising them of their option to switch to the digital version so I'm sorry if you didn't receive that email.
