So I was able to correct the invalid "Get it now" link. I created an account and claimed my gift only for it to tell me:

We are sorry.Your digital gift is temporarily unavailable. We will send you an e-mail shortly when your gift is ready to download. 

I installed the pc app and it doesnt even show the order in there nor does it show it when I login via the website. If this is how Best Buy is going to handle digital downloads, I will never get a game from you again.

For those of you wondering how to correct the URL to get your gift, you need to replace the "www.qa.bestbuy" with "www-ssl.bestbuy"  for it to work correctly. Then again you will probably end up like me and get the above error message.

First time ever using a digital download and sad to say if this is what I have to look forward to, I'll just go hardcopy.  Ok...here goes.

I've been gifted Battlefield 3 Limited Edition from a group of friends...  The confirmatory email has been sent to me, and a button that I click telling me to Get My Gift when I open my email.  I click said button, and its a dead one, and tells me it CANT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE.  I've tried it on 3 different browsers, (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox)  It's been telling me for that for next to a day now as I've been trying in various parts of this day.  So technically I cant claim my gift because the link to the gift is sending me to limbo.  So, um....what do I do? Or what can you do?

Ideas and solutions please.  This is going out to the Best Buy folks.

Thank you for sharing that WarpCode.  Were you able to get your download started?  Did you possibly try restarting the Best Buy PC App?

To all who may be experiencing the error with a broken link in your gift email,

I have confirmed with another team here that WarpCode's work-around does work for the time being so I would suggest giving that a shot while we continue to investigate the situation.

Yeah I finally got the download a little while later. Unfortunately EA is now having issues wtih game activations so I need to wait for that to clear up before I can start playing. Hopefully I get to play BF3 sometime today...

I can't believe how much BB, a TECHNOLOGY store of all places, botched this up.  I bought THREE copies of this pre-order.  Mine was fine, but gifted 2 to friends and they're screwed so far.  Or am I screwed?  Both me thinks.  Definately the last digitial purchase I ever make with BB again.

90 minutes of hold time and 4 transfers around the planet last night got me NOWHERE, during off-peak times no less.

Terrible experience.  Pre-order my butt.

replacing the broken Get Your Gift  link with "www-ssl.bestbuy" worked for me.
