I apologize to everyone who may have encountered problems trying to do your early digital download of Battlefield 3 via the Best Buy PC App. I have not yet determined the cause of this issue but I am in the research process right now and intend to update everyone once I have more information. Thank you for your patience in the meantime. I'll keep you posted!

I had a friend order battlefield 3 for PC as a digital download as a gift to me, and as the instructions stated I need to use this Best Buy PC App to start downloading it. Since we never seemed to find where you were supposed to input an email to send the gift to, he is having me use his account information and download it to my computer. Also I am the one dealing with all these issues since he is in afgahnistan and the time scheduals are off.
Anyways, I go to log in using his information and it gives me the error "The House Number Is Required", whatever that means. It only gives a space for an email and a password, of course. So I tried to make my own account and I get "There was an error with the external service. Please try again later". So after uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting, I called tech support. They told me they had no idea what that was and it didnt even make sense, then I was transfered to Geek Squad. Geek squad told me I could take in my tower and pay 65$ (more than the game) to look at it and try it on there... first off I am not stupid and I can tell it has NOTHING to do with my PC so running a diagnostic would be a huge waste of time and money, this is clearly server side or something to do with this app. I had another friend try logging in and creating one, he had the same error. I'd really like to have this fixed before the 25th when it comes out..

Would love to have some form of feedback on this, can anyone else log into the Best Buy PC App or is it just me?

I am the friend that ordered this for him. First off i would like to say that the gifting process for your digital downloads is ridiculous. second i dont understand why you would release a game on an app that does not work and then have the audacity to say you dont know whats wrong. i mean honestly what kind of business tells people that its because there computer isnt working right with the app? common whatever happened to the customer is always right? And what the h*ll is wrong with you people, trying to have them go to Geek Squad who is going to charge a ridiculous amount of money to fix your broken App. Which they probably couldnt do anyway. maybe what you should do is have some sort of actual customer support that knows what they are doing rather than outsourcing it to a bunch of overpayed monkey pretending to know something about computers. Get your stuff straight Best Buy. cuz i can say that after this whole ordeal you will not be seeing anymore of my business.

3-5 days is absurd, I've emailed, called, now I'm stuck in forums. I pre-ordered so that I could play it ON RELEASE... in other words 2 days.

ok crystalwow, you dont know what is going on apparantely, i guess you didnt read the original post because he specifically stated that he has it installed but the issue is when he tries to sign in, and i just tried it less than 10 minutes ago from a completely seperate computer and it still doesnt work, so maybe you should read it and understand it before you try and help, and maybe best buy support should get off their lazy A$$ and help, cuz this is obviously an issue with either there app or server.
