Worst Customer Service Experience Ever

I have been a loyal and long-term customer of Best Buy. I was looking to buy a 50'' LG tv which was on sale for $449.99. I called and asked whether I could have it at that price the next day because I wanted to come into the store to buy it. I was told yes, that since the store was closing that night, I could come into the store the next morning.

 

Upon arrival at the Best Buy near the Portland Airport, I was told they would not honor any sales and then was offered no follow up or additional help. I called the 1-888-BEST-BUY number and was sent between two different department five different times. The first department transfered me to the service department who said that the sales department could and would adjust the price for me. Then I was transfered back to sales who said nobody could do this and they did not know why multiple people told me they could. Suffice it to say this is the most heinous customer service I have ever experienced and I will be loath to buy anything at all from Best Buy ever again in the future. They were rude, did not offer any solutions and gave out contradictory advice.

Under our Price Match Guarantee, we will only match current prices and not previous pricing. I apologize that the person you spoke to on the phone misinformed you. I also apologize for the poor experience you had when you called 1-888-BESTBUY. I will be sure to document your concerns about both of these interactions, as we value customer feedback and rely heavily on it to improve the customer service that we provide.
