Two Defective Monitors Would not give cash back

I bought a gaming monitor online only to find out it had dead pixels so I returned it to a store and they ordered me another one. Turned out the new one had the same issue so I tried to return this one for a refund since I was thru taking chances. When I try to return the second one they say we can only give you credit even though I paid cash. They said when they reordered the second monitor the associate put the return on a gift card then reordered it. Even though they could clearly see what happened all they gave me was a gift card and said there is nothing they can do. This was the worst experience I have ever had at Best Buy.

Returns may be placed on a gift card to ease an exchange process. According to our Return & Exchange Promise refunds should be provided back to the original form of payment, but exceptions may apply. Our Gift Card terms clearly state we’d be unable to assist you with redeeming your gift card for cash. Using the details you shared with us upon joining the forum community I was able to locate your purchase for you. It appears you may have used the gift card to purchase an Asus monitor on 9/10. Please let me know if that’s not the case, and I’d be happy to see how I can assist you further.

I bought the first defective one with my debit card then they put the return on a gift card without telling me to order a replacement. The replacement was defective too and they would not refund my original payment method and I wasn't going to get another one of those monitors.

Do you still have your gift card with the full refund balance? While reviewing your purchase history I noticed that you used a gift card to purchase a monitor on 9/10 with a price match. If you still have the gift card unused I’d be happy to see if there’d other options available at this time to assist you.
