Theif by store employee

Hello my name is Catarina ,
I've been a customer with bestbuy for 3 years already and on 4/7/2017 purchased an iPhone 7 and "received" a 200$ accessory gift card as a promotion they were having at the time .
At the time of purchase I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time with the employee who was helping me and was told I was only allowed to purchase a lesser value phone case (which was not the case) and a lesser value screen protector .
The employee then scanned the gift card and slid it under the mouse pad (meanwhile her and her friend were trying to "distract" me by talking about my eyelashes) and the total came up to 82.37$ and I was left with a balance of 115.67$ but never received the gift card back .
Being the nieve 23 year old I am I figured the gift card was a 1 time use (and due to the fact my anxiety was extremely bad at the time because I felt so uncomfortable) and wanted to leave that store as soon as I could .
Called the store to ask about promotion details because I was curious I was told I was supposed to receive MY balance back I explained my story to the store manager on duty and got told they would "investigate" it , it has been over 3 weeks already and I am never receiving calls back when told I would for the status of my gift card that I deserve back , I have to constantly keep calling back only to receive lame excuses, I finally was told I would receive the whole 200$ back for being a victim of theft by a store employee and that I would receive another call explaining how they would give it to me .
5 days after the date I was expecting a call I had to call back (perushuall") and was told that I would not be receiving the full amount but the balance that the employee stole from me !
I did not even want this phone case or screen protector I got but felt obligated to get it because the lovely store employee said that's all I can get .
I would like to speak to someone from corporate immediately because your awesome 800 number is not helping me because I do not have the gift card number that I never received . It's been over 3 weeks and this is becoming very frustrating to deal with . Please contact me immediately through phone ! Thanks .

Re: Theif by store employee

Hello Catarina,

Free gift cards are great reason to upgrade your phone at Best Buy. It’s very discouraging to learn that your gift card may not have been provided back to you to use on your next purchase. I apologize that the manager at your local Best Buy hasn’t returned your call, and our agents at 1-888-BESTBUY may not have been unable to address your concerns.

Our Gift Card terms state that we’d only be able to provide you the remaining balance of your gift card. It appears that your gift card was fully used already. We’d be unable to replace your gift card at this time. While reviewing your concerns in further detail I can see our teams over the phone offered you a resolution to this issue yesterday, and you accepted.

I’ve documented your concerns here at our corporate offices for further review. This will allow any training opportunities present to properly addressed. Please file a report with your local authorities regarding your stolen gift card. Best Buy cooperates fully with all legal investigations. I’ve sent you a private message with the full gift card number. You can check you’re private messages by ensuring you’re logged into your forum account, and selecting the orange envelope in the top right-hand corner.

Respectfully,

Employee theft pt. 2

Hello , this is my second time contacting corporate after numerous time calling your lovely 800# .
I was a victim of theft in a California Best Buy Mobil store (which I have been doing business with you for 3 years and nothing like this has ever happen) , long story short because I have explained this story literally over 20 times !
I went in to purchase an iPhone 7 , "received" a promotional $200 accessories card (never touched or seen the card , which should be on surveillance fotage which in my opinion should be reviewed ) and the employee who was helping me the whole time was making me feel extremely uncomfortable and intimidated, told me I was only allowed to use that card on a low price phone case , and lowest price screen protector (which cracked and had air bubbles the next day) me being uncomfortable and nieave thought that was the catch for the gift card and went along with it even though it sounded fishy , the employee and he friend who was working with her then tried distracting me by talking about my eyelashes and slid the gift card under then company computer mouse pad (me being stupid thought that's where they probably get rid of the gift cards for the day) .
Fast forward 3 months later I'm going through my recites and find the gift card recite which says I still had a balance of 115.86 I then called the store to ask if I would be able to still use that balance and the manger said yes then I explained the story to him and he didn't know what to do so had me call your 800# and they gave me the information that the card was used 2 days after my purchase at the same location after that it was basically a phone tag war between me , your Best Buy mobile store and the 800# which no one was calling me back when I was told I had to keep calling back days later and finally got frustrated for not getting help and called corporate and explained my situation (again) , before I called corporate I had posted in the forms and was told that there was nothing you guys could do to contact law enforcement in my city . Once I finally talked to someone in corporate I was told there was no case open for me and that they would send me a gift card for my balance right that min , fast forward 2 1/2 weeks later still no gift card in the mail called corporate (again) was told to call the 800# called them (again) and was told there was nothing they can do . And to contact law enforcement .
I'm the "stupid victim" in this case and starting to feel like the criminal , if this is how you deal with customers who is a victim of theft by one of your employees then I think I should file a complaint with the fraud department and the bbb and the FCC as well , and maybe they can further assist me .
Thanks .
