I bought a WD- easystore 1 TB external hardrive (SKU: 5792404) and am wondering if I can return it. It's been less than 15 days, but I did open the box and tried to sync it with my computer. I'm not quite sure what happened, but I was unsuccessful in syncing getting it to work with my computer and think that I just want to return it. I have another WD external hard drive and I think between having two of the same drive and my computer being ancient getting another hard drive to work is just not going to be worth the effort.
I'm wondering though if it can be returned since it's open and I attempted to use it?

Welcome aboard the forums!
I'm sorry to hear your new backup drive has not met expectations. But not to worry, as that's why we have our Return & Exchange Promise. As long as you are within the 15 days (or 30 and 45 if you are Elite or Elite Plus) and the item has all packaging and accessories then you should be good to go. My only recommendation is ensuring the drive is completely empty and none of your personal or private files have inadvertently transferred over to the drive.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
