I have similiar case here. In addition, I've been BestBuy's loyal customer for years. I've purchased most of my electronic products from BestBuy. I'm BestBuy's Elite Plus customer and have BestBuy's credit card for years. Today I received the warming for denying my return for a wireless headphone ($399). The date I purchased the item was 3/31/2018. This item should be returnable as BestBuy states in the advertisment for Elite Plus member.
I seek a full refund for the return of the item I attempted to return on 4/14/2018. I am also seeking to have my consumer data removed from The Retail Equation database.
I truly hope those issues can be resolved, or I will take all the actions as ShadowAxx suggested.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you about the next step.

Welcome to our forums. I’m sorry to hear your attempts to return your recent purchase have been denied, and while I can’t undo the disappointment this experience has already caused, I do hope I’ll be able to clarify any confusion surrounding this warning you’ve received.
As it sounds like you’re aware, Best Buy partners with The Retail Equation (TRE) to monitor the return habits of our customers, to help keep our prices low. After receiving your warning, if you believe this warning was issued in error or are interested in disputing TRE’s findings, they can be contacted at 1-888-224-1920, or if you prefer email, email@example.com. From there, they can issue you a copy of your Return Activity Report, and you’re welcome to dispute their findings if necessary.
