On October 29, 2013, I received an email for the Geeksquad regarding my Military Appreciation Plan for $9.99 per month for 3 computers. I was told (I have this email as proof) that during a system upgrade my account was deleted. Since the credit card information was deleted, I was told that I would receive a free plan through Dec. 31, 2022. Up until January, I was able to get help through my plan when needed, however, it always took forever for them to verify that I even had an active plan.
Now, they are saying that my account has been closed in January of 2017. However, I have the email that documents that I have an active account. The email neglected to give me an account number however, and I'm always asked for it and have no idea what it is.
All of this happened and was no fault of my own. I opened a legitimate account with you, paid for it, and was deleted from the system. I would like this corrected. I would like to know exactly how I am to be able to access my acount through Geeksquad.com, and what information that I need to provide so that this doesn't continue to happen to me again. I would be happy to forward the email that I received from you, if I am given an email address.
I spent 90 minutes on the phone today bouncing from one person to the next and repeating my story to six different people and never getting anything resolved. I do have a confirmation number for the last phone call and it is #(removed per forum guidelines). I did read the email to several of the agents also, yet no one was able to help me.
Very disappointed in Best Buy for all of this.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Geek Squad Protection plan.
Using the information in your post and your forums registration, I was able to locate the plan in our systems. Based on what I’m seeing on my end, it did get cancelled in January. I’d like to look into this for you, but I will need a little more information about the account. I’ll be sending you a private message about that information.
