I purchased a Geek Squad certified ipad from the Best Buy ebay store last week. Unfortunately it arrived damaged. I work in the John Hancock building in Chicago and we have a Best Buy on the first floor. I figured I would be able to take the damaged ipad down to customer service and they could do an exchange for a non-damaged unit. When I got down there, the rep told me she could neither return nor exchange the item because it was an ebay order. After researching the issue online, I couldn't find anything to support what she told me. I really want to do an exchange because I purchased the ipad using a limited-time 20% off coupon from ebay. Do I have an option to do an exchange in store? Thanks.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. Receiving a damaged iPad must be very disappointing.
Generally speaking, items purchased through our eBay store should be returnable at our stores. As noted here, even though our Return & Exchange Promise does not allow damaged items to be returned, if they are damaged in shipping, we should be able to help you out in store. I’d very much like to double check your order for you to see if I can help you out.
I see that you’ve sent in a private message concerning this as well. I’ll be replying directly to that message to go over some details. You can check that message by logging into your forum account and clicking on the orange envelope in the top right corner of the screen.
