BEST BUY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST OF ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER TALKED TO!!!!!

I called to find out why they double charged me and kept me on hold for over an hour and half waiting for a supervisor and then was told the supervisor went into a meeting and that he would not be available for another hour so call back. This is the WORST I AM THINKING ABOUT RETURNING ALL THE ITEMS AN NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH BEST BUY AGAIN!!!!!!!

Horrible Customer Service!!!

The worst customer service I have ever experience!!! I purchased over a thousand dollars of office equipment and have been charged multiple times. Called customer service she tell me it is my finanacial institution Best Buy can do nothing about it. I ask for a supervisor after an hour and a half she tells me the supervisor went into a meeting with some important people from the US and I will have to call back in an hour. The supervisor was suppose to call me back in an hour no phone call. I wont be doing business with best buy anymore. Customer Service is important and they dont have it!!! But they better figure out the extra charges real fast or they will have all the euipment back as well.

I will returning all of the of the computer equipment as soon as it arrives with the customer service that Best Buy has I will no longer purchase anything from them!! A day later and still no phone call to resolve it. Maybe they should move there business to southest asia where their customer service center is!!

Welcome to the forum. Being charged multiple times for an order would be very upsetting because your much needed funds are basically tied up until the issue is sorted out. It sounds like you had a very poor experience when you called our customer support line to have this issue corrected, and I'm very sorry if you have decided to return the order. I hope you will give me a chance to clarify further before making a final decision. 

 

Usually when an order is placed there is an authorization placed on your card for the full amount. Once the order is shipped the actual charge is made. But if the items ordered ship separately the final charge is made for the items shipped an another authorization is made for the remaining items and so forth. Therefore you are not being charged multiple times. What you're seeing is the authorizations placed, and then the charges when the items ship. All authorizations should be released when items are all shipped. 

 

I hope this helps clarify things, and again, I apologize for any poor treatment you received over the phone, and that they did not explain this to you to ease your concerns. I hope you will give us another chance to offer you a much better experience.

Maria, 

 

I understand what you are saying about the pre auth and then the final charges going through the problem is that when you put multiple charges on ones account you tie up funds that are not yours to tie up!!! I also find it interesting when I purchased a TV for my daughter at christmas time this didnt happen so is this a change in how you process transactions? 

Also do you have Customer Service centers in the US I was told the only Customer Service center was in South East Asia also I do have a case number and a employee badge number.

 

I am on the fence at this point of returning the item but I wont be returning to make future purchases Customer Service is a huge part of a purchase and I think it is more important than price.

Thank you for your response and consideration. Me and my colleagues (all the Specialists here on the forum) are located at the corporate office here in the US, and we are always happy to help. We do have other customer service centers here in the US as well. Again, I apologize for the frustrating experience you encountered previously. I agree with you, customer service is the most important part of maintaining a successful business relationship. In regards to your question about your daughter's TV, most of the time when it's one item, it's really not noticeable especially if the order ships right away. I usually don't notice it when I place orders online, but I did recently when I ordered 2 items and they shipped separately.
