Re: We need your help! - Question 1

I go online mainly, use the vendor websites or wikipedia to gather my knowledge. I prefer that as the people at stores seem to pressure or not be knowledgable enough for my questions.

SamAsh.com, MusiciansFriend.com, Guitar Repair forums. I go straight to the Mfr sites, too: Roland, Fender, Gibson, Yamaha, etc... Too expensive to buy magazines. j

Re: We need your help! - Question 1

Too bad the type of instruments I play aren't offered through Best Buy! :smileyvery-happy:

Now, the day we start carrying brass instruments (particularly,  the French horn or trumpet), I'll be the first in line to check out the quality.

Re: We need your help! - Question 1

I usually go online to Guitar vendors like Guitar Center, Musicians friend etc to read the user feedback. I also use peoples video reviews on youtube.

Re: We need your help! - Question 1

Sometimes going online leads you down a rabbit hole, so checking the manufacturer site is a good place to start. I've always tried to find a knowledgeable salesperson who knew the product without filling in the blanks as he went along. Since new products are out every month it seems,a trip to Borders or Barnes and Noble save up for a Starbucks and sit down and read the reviews in the mags. We have one right across from us at Mt Laurel. Come on in and if I can't help you with a product,I'll find the right person who will,or check the net, call the rep, or go to Borders and buy you a cup of coffee and research the answer until I run out of money or we figure it out. Which ever comes first. Kmac
