I was in the market for a new Fender American P Bass. I called the Tuscaloosa, AL store, which is the only store close to Birmingham with a music center, and asked about their availability. The girl had never heard of Fender--not kidding. I had to spell it for her 2 different times. She then checked and said "We don't carry those." I said, Oh really, well they are on your website, can you order a particular model? Her reply: "No sir." Needless to say I bought a beautiful American Fender P Bass from a local music store in Birmingham. A $1200 sale that went to another business for no reason. I have always shopped Best Buy for anything electronic related but that might have ended it for me. Hopping off my soapbox now!

It's quite surprising to hear that the Musical Instruments Associate there wasn't aware of the Fender brand.  We've been carrying their guitars and basses for a while now and even recently expanded our assortment of their products.  More often than not, we can special order a specific product when we have a relationship with the vendor so I apologize if that option was not considered.  I will be sure to make this information available to the upper management at the Tuscaloosa location so they can have the opportunity to address it with their staff and make sure they are properly trained on our product offerings.  Thank you for taking the time to share this and do let me know you have any additional concerns at all.
