How We Honor Music Legends

The anniversary of Elvis' death was this month on August 16th. People gather at Graceland, his famed estate, to celebrate his musical career.

 

The Beatles record Abbey Road was released on September 26, 1969. To honor it's 50 year anniversary people have been going to the famed road to recreate their own version of the iconic album cover.

 

I've heard of similar tributes for John Lennon in central park, Bob Marley, and Hendrix.

 

Tell us about some of these tributes that you've heard of. I'm curious to hear some of the more unusual ones.

There is a yearly tribute in August, on or around Layne Staley's birthday that is put on by the Layne Staley Fund started by Staleys mother. The LSF is a NPO (Non-Profit Organization) that raises money for drug treatment and works with the Seattle music community.
