I am planning to purchase a wireless microphone with headset for teaching a fitness class. Do I also need to purchase an amplifier or speaker? If so, can you recommend a good one?

Hi KRZ,
Yes, you would also need some type of PA system along with that Audio-Technica Freeway Wireless mic setup if there isn't an existing speaker system in your classroom. If there is, you may be able to connect to it via XLR cable or 1/4-inch cable, as many of those wireless mics use.
Otherwise, there are some good lower-cost PA systems that we carry that would cover a small or mid-sized room. These include the mixer and speakers so you don't have to buy them separately...
Any time and any place you need big sound with great clarity and convenience, there's a new Passport PRO system by Fender® that's right for you. We know you'll agree that Passport will take you places now as never before.
This pro pack includes a mixer, 2 speakers and 3 microphones for your audio setup. The mixer features 12 inputs and a 24-bit multi-FX processor for adding creative touches to your music.
Rock out on stage with this wireless microphone system that includes an omnidirectional microphone for improved sound quality. CONSUMER ALERT Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCC's wireless microphone website at www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones
