Excessive waiting time for order.

Dear Moderator,

 

I've been a faithful BB customer for a long time. Within the past 12 month, I have purchased in excess of $10K worth o merchandise from BB where I could have gone to other reputable retailers. Back in August, I've placed an order for a Roland Lucina AX-09 shoulder synthesizer. I picked the option for in store pick up at your store in Nashua, NH. I recevied email telling me that the item is on back order until September 11, 2010. That date had come and gone. I called customer services a couple of time and was told the same story. I could have taken my purchase somewhere else and would have received my merchandise within a few days of order. So fed up with the run-around and wild goose chase I called Roland USA on different occasions after talking to BB customer service. Roland USA headquarter in LA repeatedly told me that the item is NOT on back order at their end. Roland has the unit in quantities and ready to ship out to any dealers or retailers storefront.

 

Why is it that Roland has the item available and Best Buy can't fulfill my order. I called and checked with many other retailers / dealers such as Sweetwaters, Musicians Friend, Sam Ash, ZZounds, J&R, B&H Photos, Music123, and many others music stores and they all have the item on hand ready to be shipped out.

 

Is this what I have to go through for giving BB my business and be a loyal customer? Would you please look into the matter and help get my order out? It's now been 6 weeks since I placed the order and nothing happened.

First of all I must say, from one keytarist to another, nice choice.  Secondly, I'm really sorry you don't have it yet.  I'm currently in the process of contacting our buyers to inquire if they have more insight into why this is being delayed when, from what you said, Roland has the unit in good supply.
