Ok, one of my friends has a Yamaha DGX-220 electronic keyboard and he is trying to find a cable to plug into his computer. The website and manual for the board say usb midi interface, but the thing did not come with a cable and the port on the keyboard looks like the same port on my scanner. What cable would we need?

Yeah, the reason it looks like the same type of port on your scanner is because it probably uses the same cable. Printers use that type of cable too. It's called a USB A/B cable. They look like this:
That will allow you to hook the keyboard directly up to your computer as an interface but audio isn't transmitted through it, just data. If you want to transmit the keyboard's audio to the computer you will need one of those "audio interfaces" you mentioned. We carry a number of them here and they look something like this:

Thanks. I realized it would go striaght to the computer and only carry midi data, its just that the cable seemed really strange.

Yeah, it can be confusing. Let me know if you have any other questions though - keyboards are my kind of thing.
