Slumdog Millionaire

Has anyone else out there seen this flick? I was able to go to a special showing of it for free, and I loved it!  This was all pre-Oscars too.

Tell me what you thought of it?

Re: Slumdog Millionaire

what can i say about the movie??

 A) the movie is great..

B) a very cool inspirational movie

C) a movie that shows how unfortunate and yet lucky(at the end) a person will get.. and how cruel the world treat some people..

 D) a movie that you will watch over and over again. .

for me. . it's all of the above. . :smileyvery-happy:

i love the performance of those young jamal, latika and salim. . they were great. . i also love the story. . showing how luck and fate let jamal have what his heart truly desires, despite all the things that he have gone through his life. .

a must watch. .

Re: Slumdog Millionaire

The Indian people are known to put their fullest effort and enthusiasm into their movies, a majority of them are all musical and you can see the energy flowing through the actors and actresses as they sing their lines.

I think its called Bollywood.

For anyone wondering, ₨20000000 (what he won) is roughly $400000.

If I remember correctly, Bollywood only refers to a specific portion of Indian films and not the industry as a whole. I could be wrong, so I’ll have to ask my aunt about it the next time we speak (she’s originally from Hyderabad).

:smileywink:

I haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire yet myself, but I’ve heard some good things about it!
